Words we employed to guide our creative intention for this Houston family-home were: small-batch, artisan, authentic, refined, practical and beautiful. Our client's refined sense of personal style - both delicate and feminine without being cute or flashy - paired gracefully with her implicit trust in our process. As a couple, they had a solid collection of family pieces, but lacked confidence in if, how and where to employ them. Where they weren’t sure their collection was worthy of a place in their new home, we found inspiration. An early meeting held at Liz's own home solidified the use of family pieces, paired with modern lines and contemporary expressions and led to a collected and personal space for this family of four. Many of the new items were custom designed by LMI and made by Texas craftspersons.
